On August 24, 2010 CKC United hosted an event slightly different from our usual music centered affairs.

On this particularly beautiful Saturday, about 35 of us set out in canoes and kayaks down the Brandywine River in Chester County Pennsylvania.

One of our newest supporters, Brian Senft said “This event was absolutely fantastic!  I got to meet fun and exciting people while canoeing down the beautiful Brandywine River.  And best of all, the proceeds went to the Kimmel Cancer Center.”

Special thanks to CKCU member Alicia Lyons and Brandywine Outfitters for hosting Canoe for a Cause and generously donating half of every ticket sold to help us further our campaign for breast cancer.

The event was so much fun and such a hit that we will be planning another trip in the future!
