Two amazing bands donated their time: Hamstrung and Streams of Whiskey. Hamstrung is a philanthropic group who play music to raise money for various causes. The lead singer Daphna showed off incredible vocals by courageously covering Led Zeppelin and Alanis Morrisette, it was awesome! Following Hamstrung, a Shane MacGowan/ The Pogues tribute band, Streams of Whiskey threw it down Irish style. During the show a few members from the audience joined the band onstage for a wonderful rendition of “A Man You Don’t Meet Everyday”.
Over a hundred people filled Tierney’s to support CKC United and have a good time. We truly appreciate everyone that came out to support CKCU. Thank you to Tierney’s Tavern and their staff for helping make this event a memorable one! We would also like to thank: All of the proceeds from A Night of Ham and Whiskey will be put towards producing Rock the Ribbon. For more information about Rock the Ribbon, or to purchase tickets, please visit www.ckcunited.org/Rock-the-Ribbon. Remember to check our site often, more exciting events from CKC United to come!! |
